1. Eligibility and Account Registration
The Portal is intended for use by licensed independent appraisers and appraisal firms. By registering, you represent that:
- You are a licensed vehicle appraiser or authorized representative of a licensed appraisal firm
- All information you provide during registration is accurate and complete
- You are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
- Your use of the Portal complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@secondlookvalue.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
---2. Report Credits and Billing
Access to report generation through the Portal is governed by a prepaid credit system. Each report generated consumes one (1) report credit from your firm's balance. Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe and are available in the following tiers:

Credit pack pricing is displayed at checkout and may vary by firm based on negotiated rates. All purchases are processed through Stripe. Credits do not expire and carry over indefinitely. Firms with zero remaining credits will be unable to generate new reports until additional credits are purchased.
Pricing is subject to change. Updated pricing will be displayed at the time of purchase. High-volume firms may be eligible for custom per-credit pricing — contact support@secondlookvalue.com for details.
3. Refunds and Credit Purchases
Report credit purchases are generally non-refundable. Because credits do not expire and carry over indefinitely, we do not offer refunds for unused credit balances except in cases of billing errors or duplicate charges.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms or fraudulent activity. In cases of termination for cause, purchased credits are forfeited and no refund will be issued.
---4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Portal only for lawful professional appraisal purposes. You may not:
- Use the Portal to generate reports for vehicles you are not engaged to appraise professionally
- Share your login credentials with individuals outside your registered firm
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Portal or its underlying APIs
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Portal outside of normal use
- Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information through the Portal
- Use the Portal in any way that violates applicable insurance regulations or appraiser licensing requirements
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Portal-generated reports as a data product
5. Nature of Reports and Limitation of Liability
Reports generated through the Portal are based on active vehicle listing data retrieved from third-party market data sources at the time of submission. Reports are intended as professional reference tools to support independent appraisal work.
Important: Reports generated through this Portal do not constitute a certified appraisal, legal opinion, or guarantee of value. Market data reflects active listings at the time of retrieval and may not account for vehicle condition, accident history, equipment differences, or regional market fluctuations. You are solely responsible for the professional conclusions you draw from Portal-generated data and for ensuring your use of reports complies with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements in your jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Second Look Value LLC shall not be liable for:
- Any inaccuracy, incompleteness, or unavailability of third-party market data
- Any professional, legal, or financial consequences arising from your use of Portal-generated reports
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Portal
- Service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures beyond our reasonable control
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Portal shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
---6. Intellectual Property
The Portal, including its software, design, methodology, and content, is the intellectual property of Second Look Value LLC. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Portal for your own professional appraisal practice.
Reports you generate through the Portal, incorporating your firm's branding and professional judgment, are yours to use in your appraisal practice. You retain ownership of the claim data and client information you input.
You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any portion of the Portal's software, methodology documentation, or proprietary content.
---7. Data and Confidentiality
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all data you submit through the Portal, including client names, claim numbers, and vehicle information. You represent that you have obtained any necessary authorization to process client claim data through our platform.
We treat all claim-level data submitted through the Portal as confidential. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.
---8. Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain Portal availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party API outages (including MarketCheck, PDFMonkey, or Stripe), and events beyond our control may result in temporary unavailability.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Portal at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes that affect core functionality. Continued use of the Portal following such changes constitutes acceptance.
---9. Third-Party Services
The Portal integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), MarketCheck (vehicle data), PDFMonkey (report generation), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of these services through the Portal is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Second Look Value LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Portal in violation of these Terms
- Any professional work product you create using Portal-generated reports
- Any claim by a third party arising from your use of client data in the Portal
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Portal shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Hays County, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify active Subscribers by email for material changes. Continued use of the Portal after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
